Designing Financial Experiences

MoneySuperMarket design system

I’ve contributed to fintech products across wealth management, banking and financial services, including Jio BlackRock, Lloyds, NatWest, RBS, Santander and early-stage ventures such as Velorai.

My work sits at the intersection of product, brand and systems, bringing clarity and personality to complex, often impersonal financial environments. Designing for fintech means designing for emotion as much as function. Trust, transparency and clarity are critical to user confidence, and even small moments of friction can quickly erode it.

Working closely with international teams, particularly in India, has reinforced the importance of context, shaping solutions that feel locally relevant while remaining globally scalable. Ultimately, I aim to balance performance with perception: building systems that work seamlessly, while shaping brands that feel trustworthy, memorable and distinctly human.

I didn’t start in finance, and that has become a strength. Approaching these systems as an informed outsider allows me to question assumptions, stay close to the user perspective, and avoid designing purely for internal logic or business constraints. It helps ensure the experience reflects real needs, not just how the system is structured. 

Here are selected snippets of work from the past few years.

MoneySuperMarket had a strong brand positioning centered around "Money Calm" in response to the growing anxiety around money management for a lot of customers. Our role was to translate this brand purpose into what it means for their digital experiences.

We created a design system to drive product innovation at scale. Working in collaboration with the MSM design teams, we created a visual, verbal and experience system that’s enabled them to embed the brand consistently across the customer journey and deliver 'Money Calm' experiences at speed and scale.
