In order to cover all 200 Michelin websites worldwide, we created an ultra flexible design system. This involved thinking about arabic languages that read right to left, but also making sure that all components work in a variety of positions in the page depending on the different needs and marketing strategies of each country. Following a mobile first design approach, we essentially created a flexible toolkit to fit the needs of each country. This involved the creation of icons, responsive components, typography hierarchy, interactions, ... respecting but modernising their famous and settled brand guidelines.
